Specibio Human Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF), Single Donor, gender unspecified. Pack size: 1 vial.
Human cerebrospinal fluid provides a native biological matrix for research on central nervous system-associated analytes.
It can be evaluated for neurological biomarker studies and the development of sensitive CSF assays.
Single-donor material supports investigation of individual donor characteristics.
Disease status, collection details and analyte concentrations require lot-specific confirmation.
For research use only. Not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Specifications: The fluid is collected from donors in an FDA-approved or similar certified collection center.
Please note that this product does not allow for donor requests off-the-shelf, but custom specified lots to your exact specifications can be made available upon requests. Contact us for details & pricing.
Application: โข Neurological biomarker assay development.
โข Exploratory CSF proteomics and metabolomics.
โข Immunoassay and mass-spectrometry sample-preparation studies.
โข Low-concentration analyte recovery and matrix-interference evaluation.
โข Suitability must be verified for the specific assay and lot.
Viral Testing: The product is tested for the standard FDA-required viral markers, and found negative for HBsAg, HCV, HIV-1/HIV-2 Antigen Antibody Combo, and AntiโT. Pallidum using FDA-approved methods. When applicable a licensed NAT for Babesia has been performed and found to be non-reactive, if you would like any further testing or analysis performed prior to shipping, please let us know. While we make every effort to ensure the safety of our products, we recommend following universal precautions as laid out by the following organizations WHO, CDC and OSHA, when handling biological materials.
Product Handling: – โ80ยฐC is the preferred long-term storage temperature. Follow the supplierโs datasheet and the intended assayโs instructions first. CSF storage consensus
– On receipt: If supplied frozen, transfer promptly to the specified freezer and keep frozen until testing.
– Containers: Use assay-compatible, low-protein-binding polypropylene tubes, particularly for amyloid-beta testing.
– Aliquots: Use single-test volumes where possible to minimize repeated freezeโthaw cycles and unnecessary tube transfers.
– Before testing: Thaw and mix according to the assay protocol. Refrigeration at 2โ8ยฐC is only a temporary option where the particular assay permits it.
